Methodology
How Lyndral Reading Programmes Work
All three programmes share the same structural logic: reading material is distributed before each session; the session itself is given over to facilitated peer discussion; printed materials accompany the participant throughout and are designed to be kept.
Facilitators guide discussion rather than delivering content. The assumption is that participants arrive having engaged with the text — which means the session can move immediately into discussion, disagreement, and reflection rather than presentation.
No financial advice is offered at any stage. No products are recommended. The programmes are reading and discussion programmes in scope and in practice.
Pre-reading distributed
Material is shared ahead of each session so participants arrive prepared.
Facilitated discussion session
A small cohort meets at the Straits Trading Building reading room for guided peer discussion.
Reflection with workbook
Participants work through structured prompts between sessions using the included workbook.
Follow-up circle or newsletter
Depending on programme, a follow-up circle or private cohort newsletter supports continued engagement.
Programme One
Money Mindset Reflection Reading Workshop
S$140 per participant · Weekend format
A two-day, workbook-based workshop for adults aged 40 and above who want a slow, considered examination of the household money habits and assumptions that have accompanied their working years. The workshop is structured around reflection prompts and peer discussion — not lecture or advice.
- Workbook-based across two days, with peer discussion between rounds
- Clothbound reflection workbook and weekly review card included
- Access to a small follow-up reflection circle after the weekend
- Cohort of eight to twelve participants
- No advice or product recommendations offered
Suited to
Adults who want to step back and look at the money habits they have developed over decades — not to be told what to do, but to bring those habits into clearer view. The weekend format suits those who prefer an intensive, bounded experience.
Programme Two
Long-Term Planning Reading Group
S$870 per participant · Eight months, one session per month
An eight-month reading group for adults aged 45 to 60 who want a slow, structured introduction to the vocabulary and frameworks of long-horizon personal planning. Topics include drawdown concepts, longevity considerations, household income mapping across the years, and the language of intergenerational planning.
- Monthly sessions over eight months, cohort of twelve
- Clothbound reading binder and monthly summary cards included
- Private cohort newsletter throughout the programme
- Reading-led, facilitator-guided discussion
- Educational in nature — not a substitute for advice
Suited to
Adults aged 45 to 60 who want extended engagement with the vocabulary of the years ahead — not a single seminar, but a sustained, reading-based encounter with the frameworks that matter for this period of life.
Programme Three
Household Coordination Reading Circle
S$320 per participant · Four sessions
A four-session reading circle on the language and frameworks of household financial coordination — partner conversations, multi-generational arrangements, and the standard rhythms of household money meetings. Sessions consist of guided discussion of pre-distributed material.
- Four sessions, cohort of ten participants
- Printed reading binder and conversation cards included
- Peer discussion notebook for between-session reflection
- Suitable for individuals or partners attending together
- Educational in scope — no advice offered
Suited to
Adults who want a focused, bounded programme on the coordination dimension of household finances — conversations between partners, between generations, and the recurring rhythms of shared financial decision-making.
